Waterhole
The early morning air is filled with the calls of the many different species of birds which visit the Lodge’s waterhole.
Sable, kudu, nyala, waterbuck, bushbuck, impala, zebra, wildebeest, duiker and giraffe are regularly seen feeding close to the lodge or quenching their thirst at the waterhole. You’re sure to see warthog wallowing in the mud to cool themselves down. Elusive leopards often visit. Hyena and wild dog have also been sighted on the Estate and hyena are regularly heard at night. There are numerous bands of pygmy and banded mongoose as well as the shy slender tail mongoose found foraging around the lodge.
